As we approach the end of May, Chaska offers a variety of events for residents and visitors alike. Here’s a look at what’s happening in our community:
May Markets at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum
On Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum will host its May Markets. This event features up to 60 local artists and artisans showcasing their work. Attendees can enjoy live music and have the opportunity to purchase food and beverages on-site. The markets will be held in the Scarecrow Hill area and will proceed rain or shine.
Memorial Day Observances
Memorial Day is a time to honor and remember those who have served our country. While specific events in Chaska are not listed, nearby Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis will host a solemn service at the Soldiers Memorial on Monday, May 25, featuring the Minnesota Freedom Band. This service provides an opportunity for reflection and gratitude.
For those willing to venture a bit further, the Twin Cities area offers additional events over the Memorial Day weekend, including the Oddities and Curiosities Expo at the Minneapolis Convention Center and the “Kickoff to Summer at the Fair,” which offers a taste of the State Fair experience.
As always, it’s advisable to check event details and any potential updates before attending. Enjoy the upcoming events and have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day weekend.
